It's not the only one that's free on Thursday evenings - so is the National Art Gallery, the Museum of Nature, and the Museum of Civilization. Probably others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. It's a new-ish thing - lets the people of Ottawa enjoy our museums every Thursday evening, free of charge. :D No problem!
